Three musicians from different generations and backgrounds of the Berlin experimental music scene come together for an evening of free improvisation. Through cello, alto saxophone and percussion, the trio explores texture, movement, silence, density and spontaneous interaction, creating a performance shaped entirely in the moment.
Guilherme Rodrigues (Portugal/Berlin) is a cellist, improviser, curator and artistic researcher working between contemporary music, free improvisation and electroacoustic practice. His work focuses on sound exploration, resonance, listening and the expanded possibilities of the cello through solo, ensemble and interdisciplinary performance. Based in Berlin, he has collaborated with musicians and artists across Europe and internationally.
Chris Pitsiokos (USA/Berlin) is a saxophonist, composer and improviser known for his highly energetic and exploratory approach to the alto saxophone. Originally from New York and now based in Berlin, he has performed extensively across Europe, Asia and the Americas, developing a singular language that moves between free improvisation, experimental music and contemporary composition.
Michael Vorfeld (Berlin) is a percussionist, visual artist and composer active in the fields of experimental and improvised music, sound art and audiovisual performance. Alongside percussion, he works with self-designed string instruments, light and electroacoustic sound pieces, creating immersive performances that combine sonic, visual and spatial elements.
